Qendra Ura / The Bridge Center is a non profit, non government organization that works for strengthening democracy in Albania through encouraging citizen participation in the democratic process, raising citizens voice, improving the capacity of citizens for a more effective participation in decision making processes in a local and central level.
“The Bridge” Center is strongly committed every day in being an active actor in public life, a connection between citizens and local authorities, a resource for the citizens and a partner for local government and NGOs.
“The Bridge Center” offers practical ways to strengthen democracy
in Albania through encouraging citizen participation in the democratic process,
raising citizens’ voices, improving effective communication between citizens
and officials, improving the capacity of citizens for more effective participation
in public decision-making at the local level, and increasing the readiness of
local officials to engage citizens.

- Creating constructive and durable relationships between citizens, local NGOs, Media and officials, improving their constituency and civic communication.
- Raising citizens and local governments capability regarding citizens participation.
- Creating and presenting to other public actors, concrete and practical ways of citizens representations in public life.
- Analysis, researches about public engagement and other specific needs of Albanian democracy.
- Every day efforts in connecting local and central policymaking actors, civil society, group of interests and informal groups/networks of citizens aiming at a more inclusive decision making process.
