“I became a community health worker because I wanted to help people. The goal in this field of work is to leave people better than you found them. My mentor reminds me of this often, I want to help educate those in my community about their health and wellness. Often, certain communities may feel forgotten, and I just want to help them feel seen and heard. Being a community health worker never feels like actual work. I love what I do, I was born to do this work!”
